Goodyera pusilla is a compact, dwarf jewel orchid with small, deep green leaves finely marked with silvery veining, perfect for adding jewel orchid charm to tighter terrarium spaces.
- Light: Prefers low to medium indirect light. Direct sun will scorch the delicate leaves, so a shaded terrarium spot works best.
- Moisture: Likes evenly moist soil, never soggy. Water when the topsoil starts to dry, and mist regularly to support its small, delicate foliage.
- Humidity: Needs high humidity, ideally 65-80%, and does best in closed or mostly closed terrariums given its small size and moisture needs.
- Potting medium: A loose, well-draining mix of sphagnum moss, orchid bark, and perlite keeps roots healthy without waterlogging.
- Temperature: Grows best in warm, stable conditions between 18-26°C, away from cold drafts.
